New flowers!!!

So our front walk way was being taken over by massive irises. Mike removed them and was able to replant 15 plants in the far front and back yard beds. Then of course we had a HUGE empty space in our front walk way...and anyone who knows Mike and I knows this is NOT a good thing!! So off to Home Depot we went to find some new perrenials that would not get as high as those irises. VIOLA!!! Our bed is back to its original glory!!! :)

Security Dinosaur?????

The other day I was walking around the kitchen when I noticed this dinosaur perfectly placed guarding the downstairs door. It made me laugh because I know it was put there by own of our toddlers....and it looked like it was doing a perfect job guarding the door to make sure no monsters made it upstairs!! When I asked John who put the dinosaur there he blamed it on Isabelle (of course!) Gotta love kids!! :)

New Beds!!!

This weekend we found a new bed for John at a rummage sale for $20 (frame, box spring, and mattress!!) So Isabelle has now been upgraded to the transition bed so there is no more crib in the Maier home!!! Isabelle can now get in and out of her bed...which she has been taking great advantage of!!! :) Even so...it is fun to see the kids growing up!!

Mother's Day

Here are some pics from Mother's Day. The kids made some really cute magnets at daycare and Mike bought me a cat flower pot or our 'outside cat' as he calls it to keep the bunnies away!! :) We spent the morning at the zoo....it was a very nice day!! :)

Junior Achievement!!

I spent the last 5 weeks every Wednesday afternoon with Miss Lundeen's second grade class at Creekside Elementary School. I taught them about their community for Junior Achievement. We learned about government workers, voting, paying taxes, and how money moves from place to place. My last class was last Wednesday, and I was very sad to see it end. But I got a nice picture of me with my students and 21 hand made cards which almost made me cry!! Well worth it...and I am positive I will do it again!!! :)

Pretty Pink Prom

This past Saturday was Samantha's Junior prom. I treated her to an afternoon at the salon where she got her hair and nails done for the big event. Mike made it home from work right in time for pictures with Samantha, her boyfriend Jake and some of there friends. They all looked beautiful (and handsome) and had an awesome time!! :)
