Bunny Cardio

Mike bought this cardio eliptical machine at a rummage sale last summer for $25. And he religiously uses it every day and has managed to loose 17 pounds so far. Lately Isabelle (aka Bunny) has decided that she wants to join dad in his daily workout. So here is a little tidbit of what we call 'Bunny Cardio'. She is even watching TV as she does her workout!!!

Chuck E Cheese

John's birthday also included us going to Chuck E Cheese....which was an adventure in itself. The place was packed and it was hot...but fun was had by all. We managed to get over 1000 tickets....mostly won by grandpa playing skeeball. We got John a gumball machine and a couple squishy sport balls. John happily passed out in the van on the way home. True sign of a kid having fun....exhaustion! :)

Cupcake fun!!!

Sunday we made cupckaes for John's birthday. Now we all know that I am not the most domesticated woman on earth....but I think I did a pretty good job with the cupcakes. Let's just say this....we made 24 on Sunday and as of yesterday...there was only 4 left. Makes me think they are mighty darn tasty!! :)

Happy Birthday Nutter!!!!

My baby boy turns three years old today!!!! I can hardly believe that I am the mom of a little person who has been around for three years!!! We got him his first bike.....Go Diego Go theme....of course! Now we just have to teach him how to ride it! Grandma and Grandpa are coming over and we are baking cupcakes and then heading over to Chuck E Cheese for some fun games. More picture to come!

Look Familar?????

We have tons of pictures of John with his infamous bubble mower. Well it has since lost its bubble container so sadly it no longer blows bubbles. But that did not deter Izzie. Here she is pushing the mower all over the backyard. Can you see the concentration on her face??? lol Just like her big brothers and her daddy....now we just have to get her to go in straight lines!!

BUBBLES!!!!!!

This past weekend it was really warm outside, so the kids and I spent a good deal of time outside enjoying the sun. The favorite activity was the puppy bubble blower. John had to be control the puppy while Isabelle just watched in awe and chased bubbles around. She chased so many that her hair was saturated with bubbles by the end of the day!!

Maier Greenhouse

This year we decided to save money and start growing our vegetables and flowers inside ealry instead of buying plants. So far we have sunflowers, tomatoes, green beans, peppers, and cucumbers all sprouting in our little 'greenhouse' in our kitchen. Then this weekend I planted a bunch of flowers in a bunch of boxes that we have out in our porch right now. It has been a lot of fun to starting them from seeds...hopefully they make it to our garden and produce veggies! :)

Spring has Sprung!!!

These are the first flowers that pop up in our yard every year. It is the first sign that Spring has finally arrived. We also have tulips and daffodils that are about ready to bloom...and even some lilies that have started to peek through the ground. This is my FAVORITE time of year!!!! :)

Like Father, Like Son!!!

I was busy cleaning on Saturday morning....getting ready for our visit with grandma and grandpa...and John was getting mad because he wanted to help. So I gave him the handheld vacuum and put him in charge of vacuuming out the couches. Here he is in all his glory! Notice the big boy undies...Go Digeo Go I believe! Bothe kids are learning the fun of cleaning....from their father of course! He is the domestic one in this family! :)

Rummikub anyone???

So when Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt came to visit Saturday....we needed to fill in some time while dinner was in the oven. So Mike dragged out Rummikib since we couldn't find all the dice for Yatzee. For our first game we didn't really follow the rules since no one was sure what they really were. (The rules were missing from the box.)

So after a search on the internet we found the official rules and played a few more games. Everyone managed to win at least one game....with much humor and laughing hysterically. We were all convinced that the cheesecake was spiked at this point in the day! :)

And since Grandma and Grandpa forgot their camera (AGAIN), I took pics to post on our blog. Fun was had by all!! :)

Easter Egg Hunt

So we decided to have an impromtu easter egg hunt for John and Isabelle yesterday. We went out to Walgreens and bought 2 dozen plastic eggs which Sam stuffed full of candy and cereal. Then Mitch and Sam hid them in the backyard. We then released the kiddies and they had a blast finding them all. The whole production took about 10 minutes!! :)

Happy Easter!!!!

Happy Easter to everyone out there in Blogger Land!! The Maier family had a very eventful Easter starting with a pre Easter celebration yesterday with Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt who visited for a delicious dinner. This was followed by a few very entertaining games of Rummikub and a very delicious cheesecake! :) This morning John and Isabelle enjoyed their Easter baskets and we even managed to have an easter egg hunt in the backyard for John and Izzie with candy filled eggs. I promise to post pictures of all the fun in the next few days.....unlike most people....I am stuck at work today! :(

Potty Training day!!!!!

So today is the official start of hard core potty training for Mr. John Michael Maier. On Monday dad took him shopping and he picked out his very own 'big boy' underwear. He went with Go Diego Go and Bizz Lightyear. We are using Skittles for an incentive....1 skittle for pee and 2 skittles for poo. (He has my sweet tooth...so hopefully this works!) So far this morning we have gone 3 times and our Diego undies are still DRY!!!! :)

Easter Eggs anyone?????

So we decided this year is the first year that we should really start partaking in all of the holidays that have traditions such as Easter and the legend of the Easter bunny. So of course that menat that we had to dye eggs for the first time with John and Isabelle. Ok well....Isabelle didn't really help...and John just wanted to put stickers on everything BUT the eggs....but we got our eggs dyed darn it all!!! :)

So this is a picture I managed to snap of John and Isabelle together last night. I was just looking at it now...and GOD do they look so much alike!!!! I guess at least it is good that they are both so darn cute!!! LOL

My new computer

So here is a pic of my new computer. We have it in the back living room (notice the child safety latch on the cabinet door!!) It came with a flat screen and a whole new printer...and it works very fast compared to our old dinosaur in the front living room. It is definitely nice having 2 computers in the house especially with 2 teenagers who would DIE if they didn't have their internet!!!!

My new computer is fixed!!!

The Geek Squad arrived at my house today (in the little VW Beetle and everything!!) and were able to fix my wireless router...so my new computer is humming along happily again!! It so happens that a neighbor's wireless phone was interferring with my network....how DARE they!! :) So now I have to work on getting some new pictures to blog with. I want to get a video of Isabelle babbling....she sounds like she is talking in Chinese...so darn cute!! More later!!!
