Countdown to Tennessee

We are counting down the days until we leave for Tennessee!!! Mich actually asked me yesterday when he should start packing! So the official countdown as of today is 7 days and 17 hours. We will be arriving next Sunday at around 4PM. Mike, myself, our four kids and all of our stuff. Shelly are you sure you are ready for the arrival of the Mad Town crew????

Dane County Fair Fun

Last weekend after the rummage sale had been closed down (with John asking "Who took our rummage sale????") we headed over to the Dane County Fair here in Madison. There were lots of animals to look at and tons of fun kiddie rides to experience. It was really a lot of fun to see how excited they got when they saw all the animals....John was the most excited to see all the pigs, who unfortunately were mostly sleeping. But we still had a very fun time and can now officially say we went to a county fair this year!!! :)

So we decided to get John his first pet. We tossed around the idea of getting him a frog, but once we learned they need filtration and heat and all that fancy stuff....that idea was dismissed. So we decided on a Beta fish. Super easy....feed them and change their water once a week and they live a happy happy life (how long we will have to wait and see.) John was in charge of naming the new member of our family and he decided on Johnny.....so welcome Johnny!!! :)

More Rummage Sale!!

Here are some more pics of the rummage sale. Grandma and the kids.....at least Izzie and grandma were smiling. Izzie got very tired towards the day of end 1 and took a little snooze in the driveaway (notice the sticker on her forhead? it says 'make an offer'), Izzie befriending all the Beanies that were for sale, and the big teddy bear who was our security guard until he was sold on day 2 for $3.

Rummage Sale Mania!!!!

Here are some pics from our very very successful rummage sale. The first is of Grandma on Saturday morning...at her post of manning the large crowds of people (yeah right!!!) The second is of the rack of clothes that was very full on Friday....but on Saturday was very bare. The ohers are pics from our organization of the tables inside the garage. We were very successful in getting enough monsy to purchase a double car DVD player for the kids and a roof luggage carrier for our trip to Tennessee!!

Many, many thanks go our to Grandma for her help this weekend!! I could have NEVER have done it without her!!!!

Shhhhh....they are sleeping!!!!!

Here is a little peek into the Maier toddler bedroom at night. As you can see.....Ms. Isabelle MUST be covered up with her soft blankie and have a stuffed animal of some sort close by. She does like to stick her feet out from under the coveres sometimes which is super CUTE!! John pretty much just sprawls out and sleeps wherever and however he lands. Mike says he looks like me when he sleeps....all sprawled out with his mouth wide open. (Whatever!!) Note: he no longer snores though since he had his surgery on his tonsils and adnoids. Nighty night my babies...mama is going to catch some zzzzz's now. :)

Happy Birthday mom/Grandma!!!! We tried to get Isabelle in the picture as well....but she threw a fit...sorry about that. We all love you a lot and hope that you have an awesome birthday!!! We are very very excited to see you and spend time playing with you next weekend during the rummage sale. Hugs and kisses!!!

!@##$%^& Beetles!!!!!

This is a picture of the the very very evil, pain in my butt Japanese Beetles that attack our flowers and shrubs every year. They eat everything in our yard and even crawl into the buds of our flowers and devour them before they have a chance to bloom. They drive Mike and I INSANE!!!!! We have traps to try and catch them and spray to kill them when we find them on our plants. Yesterday I went around our yard on a spraying missing...swearing the entire time. This is their mating season so you will find a whole bunch together basically humping on one of our beuutiful flowers. Makes me so MAD!!! Horney little #%$!*#*$*%!!!!!

More Flower Power!!!

Here's some more shots of the flowers in our gardens. We are really getting a lot of very gorgeous and colorful blooms this year. It is so exciting to see what types pop up every season!! :)

Spaghetti Slurper????

So tonight we had spaghetti for dinner...and Isabelle demonstrated her new trick to us at the dinner table. She now knows how to slurp her spaghetti noodles while she eats them. Super super cute!!! :) And she concentrates so HARD while she does it!!

Food Glorious Food!!!!

Now I know you are all envious of the crops that my vegetable garden has produced....I know...pretty exciting hey??? Yes...my garden has produced 3 glorious beans. Now this is the 2nd time around that I have had to plant beans this year...the first crop was eaten by the evil bunny rabbits. But the bunnies didn't get this wonderful batch of beans!! lol Hopefully they will produce more....along with the 20 or so tomato plants we have growing....could be an interesting year. :)

I sold one!!!!

Well I ended up selling 1 of the 11 barbies I listed on EBay last week. Kind of a bummer that more didn't sell, but I went ahead and relisted the rest of them and will try for another week and then will consider dropping the prices drastically if they still don't sell. Now I just have to figure out how to ship the one out....I will be on a hunt for an appropriate box on Monday. :)

Now we just have to convince Mike to let me try and sell some of his baseball cards. Hmmmmm....we will get there eventually!! :)

Blower fun Maier style!!!

So I took this picture a while back because Mike and Mitch begged me to...and never knew what I was going to do with it.
