Maier Christmas - Part 2

The wrapping took a few hours...the unwrapping took about 15 seconds!!! :)

Maier Christmas - Part 1

Here are some snapshots of the kids opening their many gifts. I especially like the one of John getting his dinosaurs and Grandma reacting in the background...makes me laugh everytime I see it!! Nice face grandma!!! :)

Christmas T Shirts!!!

The theme this year for the family gift exchange was t shirts. Above are some of the selcetions made by our family. I think everyone did a very good job picking out appropriate t shirts for everyone! :) We are already contemplating what next year's theme will be!

More from the tree farm.....

Cutting Down the Christmas Tree

Today we went back to our old tradition of going and cutting down our Christmas tree. We haven't done it the last 2 years due to weather and me being ultra preggo the year before last. But this year...we were orderd by Samantha to start the tradition again....so off we went!! :) Mitchell was given the task of cutting it down and dragging it back to the van. We all had to agree on the tree before we cut it down...but it only took us a few minutes to make our selection. The decorations are coming out tomorrow!

Holiday decorations (a little early)

So as we all know it gets super cold super quick in Wisconsin this time of year. For that reason, we took advantage of the recent warmer weather to put up our Christmas decorations. (OK....really...Mike put them up!!) We went a little more crazy this year which was a lot of fun. I did decorate our huge wreath with lights, ornaments and a huge bow....and it turned out quite nice if I do say so myself. So, we are all decked out for the holidays.....bring em on!!!! :)

MAJOR Mo hawk!!!!

Yes, yes we did give our daughter a shampoo mohawk. And she doesn't seem to mind one bit!!! :)

Major In-Law Points!!!

This is my hubby Mike scoring some major in-law points by geting both milk and dark chocolate angel food candy for mom and a cherry pie for dad. In Mike's words: "I bet I am the best son-in-law ever!!!" I had to remind him that technically he is the ONLY son in law....but he is still very proud of himself! can't you tell by the look on his face??? Gotta love him! :)

ABC's

Was able to catch Isabelle saying her ABCs. The quality isn't the best but you can still hear her really well! Super super cute!! :)

Our new front flower bed!!

For years, Mike has been bugging me to let him get rid of the tree and bushes in front of our front living room window. I actually liked the tree...so I always fought him on it...but I finally said go ahead. I didn't really think he was going to do anything about it this year yet....but BOY was I WRONG! On one of the days we were dealing with a wind storm in Madison...he was out there with a chain saw hacking away. Then this weekend we found shrubs and flowers on SUPER clearance and plunked them in the ground with about 40 tulips bulbs. So, it may look a little rough right now but next Spring and Summer it should look BEAUTIFUL! :)

More Halloween 2010

Halloween 2010

Here are some pics of the kids from Halloween. Sorry I am a tad late. The kids had a lot of fun trick or treating. John got tired of walking around much sooner then Isabelle did...she could have gone for ar least a few more blocks!
