Look Who's Walking!!!

Well, Isabelle is definitely learning how to walk! She stood up in the middle of the room all by herself and walked across the room to me. She seems to do better if she has something in her hand while she attempts this feat....hence the cell phone in her hand! As of now, the most steps she has taken at one time is 10....not too bad for the Baby Girl!!

Since John seems to have taken an interest in letters, Grandma bought him a magnetic letter set this weekend. It is really neat....sings all the letters and says all the sounds that the letters make. John took to it right away and it is now one of his favorite things to play with. Thanks Grandma!!! :) Love, John (aka Goofball)

Water Park fun!!

Last Friday night we headed to The Wilderness resort in Wisconsin Dells for Mitch's 13th birthday party. Not that the evening was relaxing for me and Mike with 8 kids over the age of 11 and our own 2 little ones....but it was fun to see how John and Izzie enjoyed the water. We literally had to drag John out at the end of the night! :)

Our new and improved deck!!!

Mike's self proclaimed 'summer project' this year was to revamp our deck. The original owners had it put together with nails and the boards were separating and the railing had an untimely demise at John b-day party a couple years back. So Mike removed all the nails from the deck boards...pushed them back together and even replaced some all together. He then re did the entire railing and even the had railing for the stairs. I think it looks like a completely new deck! Good job Mr. Fix it (aka Baby)!!!

It is so tough being the Baby Girl!!!!

This is what happens after a long morning of being the Drama Queen of the Maier family. A few minutes in front of the TV watching Baby Einstein while Mama takes a shower...and ZONK....she is out! But it was only a power nap...10 minutes later she was awake again and jumping around in her Jumperoo. :)

It's OFFICIAL!!!!!

Well, Yesterday....September 2, 2008 at approximately 8:30 PM, Isabelle (aka Baby Girl) said her first word, heard by both Mommy and Daddy!!! And yes it was....MA MA!!! Not sure if she really knows what she is saying....but I don't care....I am just BEAMING!!! That's my Baby Girl!!
